An NYC ultimate player is at Bellevue Hospital being monitored for Ebola symptoms.

His fiancee, Morgan Dixon, has been quarantined at Bellevue hospital. The Manhattan Ultimate Disc league sent out an email this morning reporting that Dixon was an active player in the league, most recently playing last Saturday.
There is no cause for alarm among players in the city, as Spencer only returned from his Guinea trip six days ago and only presented symptoms in the middle of this week. Ebola is not infectious unless symptoms are present and you have direct contact with bodily fluids from someone sick with Ebola. There is no way that Dixon could have been infectious when she played in the MUD league on Saturday.
Still, MUD is encouraging players to be mindful of their health and to “be very aware of any new medical symptoms and to seek appropriate medical care as soon as possible if any such symptoms appear.”
There are no reports that Dixon has contracted the virus — she is simply being monitored under quarantine for public safety.
