The major east coast storm made travel conditions too dangerous.

Although tournament organizers held out hope until late this week, all major east coast college tournaments have been cancelled due to the significant winter storm, Jonas, set to pummel the atlantic seaboard from the Carolinas to Connecticut.
Yesterday, the weekend’s biggest tournament — the Carolina Kickoff, set in Holly Springs, NC — got canceled at around 3 PM Eastern. “Due to the potential inclement weather we found it to be in everyone’s best interest to cancel the tournament,” said tournament director JD Hastings. “Notre Dame, Connecticut, and Pittsburgh all let me know that they would have to drop before we made the final decision. I had been keeping an eye on the weather pretty much every hour on the hour and things just weren’t getting any better.”
Late last night, Tuscaloosa’s T-Town Throwdown announced that it was also canceling the tournament and rescheduling for next weekend.

Columbia, SC’s Cola Classic was still planned to continue through yesterday, and the tournament was even trying to recruit more teams on Twitter after the announcement that Kickoff was canceled. But this morning, Gamecock Ultimate announced that the tournament was off.
That leaves just two college tournaments on the board for this weekend: the Presidents’ Day Qualifier (Santa Clara, CA) and Flat Tail College Open (Corvallis, OR).
